더위가 거의 끝이난거 같아 밖으로 돌아다니는데 매우 더워서 찾았던 노들서가에서 읽은 한창훈의 왜 쓰는가
어릴적 나도 부산에 살았는데, 흔히 부산이 고향이라 말하면 주변에선 바닷사람이라고 생각하고 이야기하곤 한다. 사실, 바다를 가려면 고향집에서 40분은 지하철을 타고 가야했었던 기억이 난다.
이 작가의 고향은 여수(10살에 섬에서 여수로 전학을 간)인데, 표현한 항구의 느낌과 어릴적 추억들의 그림이 그려지는 글체가 인상깊었다.
중간에 늙은 뱃사람 부부의 이야기가 나오는데 잔잔한 감동을 선사한다.
